Jesse A. Sally, DO
Dr. Jesse Sally is a native of the Pittsburgh area with extensive experience in treating both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. He specializes in regenerative medicine, including bone marrow concentrate (containing a patient’s own live stem cells), Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), and Prolotherapy for osteoarthritis, tendonitis, ligament injuries, and sports-related conditions. In addition to his expertise in non-surgical orthopedic treatments, Dr. Sally is highly skilled in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound-guided procedures, and fluoroscopically-guided spine procedures.
Dr. Sally is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise from Virginia Tech in 2003 and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2008.
He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he served as Administrative Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Sports and Spine Medicine.
Dedicated to optimizing physical function and overall wellness, Dr. Sally provides comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate exercise prescription, wellness counseling, and lifestyle coaching to promote long-term health.
He has served as a team physician for multiple professional and collegiate sports organizations, including the Washington Wild Things (Frontier League Baseball), Pennsylvania Rebellion (Women’s Professional Fast-Pitch Softball), California University of Pennsylvania, and Robert Morris University Athletics. He has also served as an on-site physician for events such as Mud on the Mountain at Seven Springs Mountain Resort and the Pittsburgh Marathon.
Dr. Sally actively contributes to the advancement of sports and rehabilitation medicine through his affiliations with professional organizations, including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American College of Sports Medicine, the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, and the Allegheny County Medical Society.
Dr. Sally sees patients at Regenexx Pittsburgh, with locations in Pittsburgh and McMurray, PA, and is currently accepting new patients.
